Our approach
The site is designed around semantic HTML, readable text, responsive layouts and keyboard access. The design target is WCAG 2.2 AA. That target is not a claim of independent certification.
Reading and navigation
A skip link leads directly to the main content. Every major page has a descriptive title and heading. The layout reflows on small screens, and text can be enlarged using browser controls. Focus indicators help locate links and form controls.
Learning tools
The Number Studio uses buttons rather than requiring dragging. Its equation and state explanation accompany the counters. Counter groups differ by pattern and labels as well as colour. The Participation Planner uses ordinary checkboxes and offers text, copy and print output. Research summaries and original-source links remain available without a PDF viewer.
Motion and scripts
The site respects your system’s reduced-motion preference. Core biography, research and resource content is delivered as HTML. Static worked examples and planning suggestions remain available when JavaScript is disabled. Dynamic filtering, copying and the content editor require JavaScript.
External materials
PDFs and videos on other organisations’ websites may have accessibility limitations outside this site’s control. A written description and original-source link accompany resource listings.
Report a barrier
Use the contact form and choose “Website and accessibility”. Include the page, the action you were trying to complete and any assistive technology you wish to mention. Please avoid confidential learner information.
